Two places that I like to begin when building a WEB Site are, a design document questionnaire, and a Web Site Design Development process Document.

Both of these documents are constructed with the larger more complicated web site in mind but they both are helpful to get both the client and web designer on the same page in order to deliver a product that will be of value with any WEB Site.

A web page has a lifespan the information will get dated.  In order to drive business to your door you will need to update your WEB Site as often as is necessary.  Once a week, every other week or once a month.
